We recently had the honor of sponsoring New life Refuge Ministries “Celebration of Courage Boots and Bling Ball” along with the First Lady of Texas, Cecilia Abbot! This event helps to bring awareness to the terrible sex trafficking epidemic we face in Texas, in an effort to bring a stop to it and save as many victims as possible.
This is happening in our own backyard, and we would like to encourage everyone to please join us in supporting New Life Ministries fight to end it! To find out how you can help please visit http://newliferefugeministries.org/
The United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting November 5 for the newest community for Braselton Homes, the largest home builder South of San Antonio.
The Cottages at the Park Community, featuring Eco Friendly, Health and Smart homes from the 160’s in the heart of the Southside of Corpus Christi, was opened to much fanfare.
United Chamber members as well as staff and owners from Braselton Homes gathered to officially open the model home and enjoy tours of the neighborhood and compete for fabulous door prizes.
We’re looking forward to seeing this neighborhood come to life as families find the homes of their dreams!
The Braselton Homes family had a fantastic time supporting the American Heart Association Oct. 6 at Whataburger Field!
Our employees and their families raised over $2500 to support the AHA’s mission to end heart disease and stroke, and everyone had a great time taking a stroll on the beautiful Corpus Christi bayfront at the event.
Bart and Michelle Braselton and their precious and precocious twins were the first to cross the finish line in their category- Double Stroller Pushin’ Parents born in the 60’s. All in all, a great time supporting a great cause was had by all.
Braselton Homes has once again ranked nationally among homebuilders in the United States. Professional Builder Magazine named the company #214 on its “2018 Housing Giant” list, compiled based on revenue for the previous year. The magazine ranks the top 400 builders in the country by gross revenue.
Builder Magazine ranked Braselton Homes #183 on its Builder 100 “Next 100” list of homebuilders in the country. This list compiles the largest 200 homebuilders based on housing starts in the previous year, a list they call their “fastest up and coming” builders.
The competition is stiff- each year the magazines compare over 40,000 homebuilders around the country for the rankings.
“The combination of a thriving economy and pro growth environment in the Coastal Bend along with three generations of building experience for the Braselton family gives us the tools we need for success. The rest of it is building the neighborhoods and homes that folks want to live in,” says Bart Braselton, Executive Vice President of Braselton Homes Inc.

As we roll into the summer months, we’re taking time to assess a really spectacular year for our company. Braselton Homes has been blessed, in the last few months, to be busy racking up a list of top industry and local community organizations that have chosen to recognize us for our work here in South Texas.
As the largest homebuilder south of San Antonio, we are proud of the selection as a national “Housing Giant” from Professional Builder Magazine as well as recognition by Builder Magazine in their “Next 100,” a list of the largest home builders in the nation. But the recognition from national organizations for our commitment to stewardship of the environment is something of which we are even more proud. This year, we have received the Energy Star High Performance Award, the Environments for Living Diamond Award, and locally, we were honored with the the Coastal Bend Bays Foundation Environmental Stewardship Award. Braselton was the first builder to ever be so honored by the Bays Foundation.
Braselton Homes is also proud to top our own Builder’s Association list as one the most awarded home builders in the Corpus Christi area; with Parade of Homes, GreenBuilding, and other recognitions, we have received scores of awards over the last few years.
Industry awards are a great honor, and remind us that our hard work building beautiful homes and neighborhoods for our friends and neighbors to live in is important, but we also take our commitment to our local community very seriously. So, it is doubly an honor for us to receive recognition for our efforts to help those that need help the most through our “Community Builder” programs, which support key charities and ministries throughout the Coastal Bend.
Mentoring our youth and giving them the tools they need to succeed is all part of building the fabric of our community, and our work in this area has been such a rewarding experience. We are proud to sponsor the ECF Community Center’s tutoring and after school programs for inner-city children, as well as to work with Fish for Life, a Christian organization that partners with the local juvenile justice system to mentor at-risk youth and building a better future for our city. We also have made a commitment to the most vulnerable in our community, women and children, who have been abused by the sex trafficking industry. We were honored to sponsor the the New Life Refuge Ministry’s Celebration of Courage and to work with them to build a home for those rescued from this horrible experience . The organization graciously dubbed it the “Braselton Home.” And, we are also happy to be the main sponsor of new housing for women and children at the Salvation Army’s new Center of Hope, which will provide a long term stay for moms with kids.
There’s such an amazing and supportive community here in the Coastal Bend, and we are so pleased to have been a part of it for the past three generations. Together, we’re all building a bright future for our area!
See you in the neighborhood,
Over the last 70 years, the Braselton family has had the honor and privelege to shape Corpus Christi history by building many of the iconic buildings that make our city special as well as the neighborhoods that give its residents a unique place to call home.
Our history in the area began in 1945 when Guy Braselton, a West Texas carpenter who had risen through the ranks to lead construction crews, came to Corpus Christi to build a children’s home destroyed in a fire. When he saw Corpus Christi Bay for the first time, he proclaimed, “This is the place!” and… we have been here ever since.
This has given our family a chance to build some of Corpus Christi’s landmarks, such as One Shoreline Plaza, the Corpus Christi International Airport, Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History, the Texas A&M University Library, and the old City Hall building. We have also built some of our most historic places to live and for visitors to stay downtown, including Cliff House Condominiums, Marina del Sol, the Holiday Inn Emerald Beach and the Best Western on the Bayfront.
We added our mark in education and houses of worship, building Mireles Elementary School and Temple Beth El- and even built iconic retail locations like the Alan Samuels Chevrolet dealership and the Corpus Christi Main Post Office.
We were even at the forefront of developing Padre Island as a vacation destination, building the Port Royal Condominiums on Mustang island and the first phase of Cinnamon Shore.
Braselton Homes has grown from a small custom homebuilder to a company that has now been consistently ranked as one of the Top Builders in the United States and has won numerous local, state and national awards. Thousands of families in the Coastal Bend have trusted the Braseltons with their New Home, and generations of Corpus Christians have lived, worked, and vacationed in our projects. We are so proud to have been given this opportunity to help this town grow and look forward to the next generation!
Braselton Homes was pleased to play host March 22 for the Coastal Bend United Chamber of Commerce’s Mi Casa Su Casa event. The quarterly mixer honors a leader of the community and raises funds for the Mano a Mano scholarship fund, and this event paid tribute to our beloved City Manager, Margie Rose.
Supporters from around the Coastal Bend gathered together, complete with drinks from Celebrity Waiters featuring members of the Braselton Homes team, to mix and mingle and support the good work of the Mano a Mano program, all in the lovely environment of the beautiful Rancho Vista model home.
We’d like to thank the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce for choosing us to host and all the folks who came out to spend the evening with us and support this great cause!

The Braselton Homes Inc. family had so much fun December 12 distributing toys with the folks from the E.C.F. Community Center at Zavala Elementary in Corpus Christi. The kiddos were selected by the school counselor and principal from families living below the poverty line, who would be struggling this year to give gifts to their children- and it was such a joy for us to hand out over 100 toys donated by our staff and subcontractors and make Christmas special for these families.
From our family to yours, we want to wish all of you a happy and blessed Christmas.
